From Madisonville to the Studio
Plan on about 15 minutes from Madisonville to the studio at 111 N. Causeway Blvd., Suite 208, Mandeville. It’s in an office park near the Causeway, with free parking on site. Suite 208 is upstairs.
In the studio I have white, brown and black paper backdrops and pink, blue and brown textured ones, with other colors by request. If your brand has a signature color, tell me while we plan. I’m in the studio by appointment Monday through Thursday 9 to 5, Friday 9 to 4 and Saturday 9 to 2.
Madisonville, on the River
Madisonville sits on the Tchefuncte River, close to where it meets Lake Pontchartrain. The town was founded in 1800 as Coquille and renamed for James Madison around 1811, and its riverfront has been working ever since: before the Civil War it shipped bricks and goods to New Orleans, and the Jahncke Shipyard built wooden ships for the U.S. Navy in World War I. Water Street follows the riverfront, the Tchefuncte River Lighthouse can only be reached by boat, and each fall the Wooden Boat Festival fills the riverfront, hosted by Maritime Museum Louisiana.
