Business Headshots in Mandeville
I’m Paige Henderson, and I photograph business headshots at my studio in Mandeville for professionals from Mandeville, Covington and Madisonville. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. I direct the whole session, and you leave with a polished, retouched headshot that looks current and unmistakably like you.
Most people who book with me start by telling me they hate being photographed. That is normal, and it is not a problem. Making you comfortable in front of the camera is my job, not yours.
Business Headshot Examples
Here are recent business headshots. Some were photographed in my Mandeville studio and some at a client’s office.
Why a Professional Headshot Matters
People look you up before they call you. They find your LinkedIn profile, your company bio or your name on a proposal, and your photo is the first thing they see. It tells them something before they read a word.
A selfie, a cropped group photo or a picture from ten years ago tells them you have not gotten around to it. A current, professional headshot tells them you pay attention to details. It is a small thing that works for you every day, in places you never see.
LinkedIn Headshots
Your LinkedIn photo is often the first time a client, a recruiter or a future colleague sees you. It is also small. It appears as a circle next to your name in search results, comments and messages.
That changes how I photograph it. A LinkedIn headshot needs a well-lit face, sharp eyes and a simple background, framed from the shoulders up so nothing important is lost when the image is cropped to a circle. I photograph every business headshot so it works at thumbnail size on LinkedIn and as a larger image on a company website.
If your current photo is a cropped vacation picture, or it is more than a few years old, this is the fastest fix there is. The Essential Headshot takes 20 minutes.
Beyond LinkedIn
The same headshot goes to work in other places too:
- Your company website and team page
- Your email signature
- Speaker introductions and conference programs
- Proposals, press releases and bylines
- Business cards and printed marketing
I deliver an image that holds up across all of them, so you are not using three different photos of yourself.
How a Headshot Session Works
1. Before you arrive
After you book, I send a preparation guide with wardrobe guidance, so you know what to bring. Signature sessions also include a planning consultation, where we talk through how you will use the images.
2. During the session
I tell you where to stand, how to angle your shoulders, where to put your chin and what to do with your hands. I photograph a range of expressions, from a relaxed smile to something more serious, so you have a real choice afterward.
3. Choosing your image
You don’t wait days for a gallery link. We look at the images together right after your session, and you pick your favorite while I am there to help.
4. Retouching and delivery
I retouch the images you choose and deliver your final files within 72 hours of your image selection, for both the Essential and the Signature Headshot.
Posing and Expression Coaching
Nobody is born knowing how to pose, and practicing in a mirror usually makes people more self-conscious. So I don’t ask you to pose. I give you small, specific directions, one at a time, and adjust until it looks right.
Expression matters more than anything else in a headshot. A relaxed smile reads as approachable. A neutral expression reads as composed and authoritative. Most professionals need both at different times, which is why I photograph both and let you choose.
Polished, Natural Retouching
A business headshot should look like you on a very good day. It should not look like a different person. My retouching refines the image while keeping you recognizable to the people who meet you in person.
Every session includes signature retouching and finishing of your selected portraits. Each selected portrait is individually retouched and hand-finished, including natural skin refinement, color and tonal adjustments, removal of temporary distractions like blemishes, and final artistic polishing while preserving the details that make you look like you.
I also keep a large digital library of backgrounds that I can add after the session, so the backdrop you are photographed on is not your only option.
Who Books a Business Headshot
Professionals who are the face of their work
If clients choose you personally, your photo is part of how they decide. That includes people in real estate, law, finance, healthcare and consulting, and anyone whose name is on the door.
Business portraits
Sometimes a tight headshot is not enough. A business portrait is framed wider and shows more of you, which suits a website banner, an article or an About page. It should read as both authoritative and approachable, and I direct for that balance. If you need both a headshot and a wider portrait, the Signature Headshot gives us the time and the looks to do it.
Headshots for women
Many of my clients are women who want to look polished and confident without looking overdone. I help with wardrobe choices before the session, and the Signature Headshot includes professional hair and makeup, so you don’t have to manage that on your own.
A new role or a job search
A new title, a promotion or a job search is a good reason to update your headshot. If your photo no longer looks like you, replace it before the announcement goes out, not after.
My Headshot Studio in Mandeville
Most business headshots are photographed in my studio at 111 N. Causeway Blvd., Suite 208, near the Mandeville exit of the Causeway bridge. Studio lighting is controlled and consistent, so your headshot does not depend on the weather or the time of day.
I also photograph headshots on location. I bring a mobile studio to your office in Mandeville, Covington or Madisonville, which is often easier when your schedule is full.
Sessions are by appointment, Monday through Thursday 9 to 5, Friday 9 to 4 and Saturday 9 to 2. The studio is in an office park near the Causeway, with free parking on site. Suite 208 is upstairs.

Business Headshot Questions
How long does a session take?
The Essential Headshot is a 20-minute studio session. The Signature Headshot is 60 minutes, which includes professional hair and makeup.
When will I get my headshot?
Within 72 hours of choosing your image. You choose right after the session, so there is no waiting on a gallery, and your retouched files follow within three days. That is the same for the Essential and the Signature Headshot.
What should I wear?
Choose clothing that feels polished, fits well and matches how you want to be seen professionally. Solid colors, clean lines and timeless pieces photograph well. Busy patterns and large logos pull attention away from your face. After you book, I send a preparation guide with more wardrobe guidance.
Do I need to have my hair and makeup done first?
For the Signature Headshot, no. Professional hair and makeup are included. For the Essential Headshot, arrive camera-ready, the way you would for an important meeting.
I'm not photogenic. Will this still work?
Yes. Most of my clients say exactly that when they arrive. Being comfortable on camera is not a talent you either have or don’t. It comes from clear direction, and giving you that direction is what I am here for.
Can I wear my glasses?
Yes. If you wear them every day, wear them in your headshot, because people should recognize you. I adjust your facial positioning and the position of the lights to eliminate glare, so there is nothing you need to do differently.
What background will my headshot have?
In the studio I have white, brown and black paper backdrops, with other colors available by request, plus pink, blue and brown textured backdrops. I also have a large digital library of backgrounds I can add after the session.
Can you match my company's existing headshots?
Yes. If your company’s headshots use a specific background color, I can match it. If they use a texture or a special look, send it to me and I will add it to your finished image, or I can deliver your headshot on a transparent background for your team to add.
Can I buy more images?
Yes. Additional retouched images are available for purchase with both sessions, and collections are available.
Where can I use my headshot?
Normal use of your own portrait is included. Your purchased images cover personal use and normal professional self-promotion: your website, social media, LinkedIn, business cards, speaker bios and PR. I don’t charge a separate licensing fee for those uses.
A separate licensing agreement and fee apply when an image is used as part of advertising or a commercial product or campaign, for example a book cover, a billboard, a paid advertising campaign, product packaging, or use by a third-party brand.
